About Me: I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California offering Supervision towards licensure to AMFTs, APCCs and ASWs who would like to deepen their skills in Relational, Somatic, EMDR and Parts (IFS) oriented psychotherapy. I have a Masters in Somatic Therapy from JFKU, an advanced certificate from Relational Somatic Healing, and am certified in EMDR. I am also in training to be an EMDR consultant, and ran a Relational Somatic Healing consultation group in 2023. I am trained in Hakomi (comprehensive, year 1), am a certified Ecotherapist through Earth Body Institute, have certificates in Flash Technique as well as Theta Healing, and training in Four Blinks and IFS (not through the IFS Institute). I love parts work and have been deepening my practice that way lately. I have also studied Laurel Parnell’s Attachment EMDR and that is how I primarily do EMDR.
You do not need to have trainings in all of these modalities to work with me.
My specialties are C-PTSD, as well as developmental/relational trauma. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life, and specialize in working with the LGTBQIA+ and Sex Worker communities. I hold a de-colonial and intersectional lens and this is a big part of who I am and what I care about. I am very passionate about supporting marginalized clinicians in building their careers.
Requirements to working together (Please read thoroughly):
Training and Orientations: I am most interested in supporting Associates that are grounded in holistic and trauma oriented therapy orientations. At my heart, I am relational and somatic, and also am grounded in earth based practices. I am a big believer in the magic of EMDR and its ability to integrate trauma and the way it affects people in their day to day life. I am also a fan of IFS style parts work and utilize it in my practice regularly. If you have not had any training or previous experience with any holistic or experiential models, I would ask you to do some trainings or thoroughly read up on whatever appeals to you, before we work together. If you are not sure where to start, head to the bottom of this page for some ideas.
Logistics: You should be a member of a private practice model agency such as Center for Mindful Psychotherapy, Axis Mundi Center, Grateful Heart, Blue Oak, etc. I am not set up to take on employees at this time.
Intake Process: My intake process includes a conversation discussing a lot of what is written here, and I want to learn more about you. I take this relationship and responsibility seriously and would like to make sure we are a good fit to make the commitment to work together on supporting you in this important phase of your career. I hold the journey of the licensure process as a sacred right of passage (within a complicated field) and want to be able to support you in the best way possible for both of us. This will include a basic law and ethics conversation. Offering you an initial intake consultation is not a guarantee we will be working together, but rather an exploratory process to see if we will be a good fit.
More Logistics: I may ask you to video record a few of your sessions so that I can get to know how you work, not in a punitive way, but to help you grow. I do expect you to document your work and will teach you a style of note taking. I will work with you in sharing your documentation with me in a way that feels supportive to you. Note taking and treatment plans are an important and often dreaded part of being a therapist, and I want to help it feel more easeful for you. I have had a few instances where it was imperative and supportive for my clients to share my notes with them, it does happen. I want to help you set yourself up for success there.
Time off: I take approximately 4-6 weeks off a year throughout the year, with plenty of notice. I will provide fill in supervisors as needed.
Individual/Triadic Supervision: I am offering weekly individual or triadic supervision as long as I have openings in my schedule. My rate is $120 per hour, with possible sliding scale for marginalized clinicians (BIPOC, LGTBQIA+ & Sex Workers). Please let me know if that is something you are wanting when you reach out.
If you have questions or want to talk about possibly working together, please reach out to me through email at:
Four Blinks (this is the entire training, free online, highly recommend you take the time to take it)
Embody Lab (except EMDR, if you do EMDR trainings, please make sure they are EMDRIA approved, with the exception of Laurel Parnell’s Attachment EMDR training)
